If you are a consumer within the European Union and you decide to change your mind or for any other reason that they do not want to purchase the item before it's dispatched, you can cancel the order and receive a refund

The right to cancel or refund does not apply to the following types of Goods/furniture, which are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to the customer’s specific requirements

If the Customer cancels an order once the delivery has been arranged with the courier or dispatched, the costs of delivery are non-refundable

To cancel the contract, you must let us know you have decided to cancel as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary time and costs involved. Please contact us at with the reason for canceling 

Nature of goods

Before purchasing a vintage/antique item please make sure you have read the listing carefully, please keep in mind before purchasing that age appropriate wear is part of buying vintage and antiques and this is a disclaimer that you are buying used items that may have wear and/or flaws which the pictures cannot depict, they are sold 'as is', 'with flaws' and are not new. Antique & vintage items may have developed there own historical marks, bumps, scrapes, stains, minor damage, old signs of woodworm & general appearance of age and character that you would associate with this type of furniture, therefore items will not be accepted as faulty or returnable and 'are fit for purpose'. The purchaser hereby acknowledges this and all goods are purchased by the purchaser "as is" and "with all flaws" 

Non Returns

Please note that antique/vintage items are not sold as new and are likely to show signs of wear and tear & minor damage. This is not sufficient grounds for a refund

Additionally, the Customer may not return an item for "inaccurate listing” reason when its dimensions or other characteristics do not fit your requirements. We strongly recommend that buyer measures all access areas prior to making a purchase

We hand wrap all items prior to shipping for safe delivery, we inspect the item beforehand and photos are taken before and after wrapping. All delivery costs outbound & returns are met by the customer unless arrive faulty, Original Eclectic are not affiliated to any couriers and not liable for any damages occurred in transit or moving item in your home. The courier has there own insurance for damages, we will help where we can to rectify any problems

All items need to be checked for damages on arrival, please notify the couriers on of any damages, please reject the delivery. If the item has not been checked on arrival you will be liable for any damages once the item has been delivered

Once the item has been delivered and checked, the item is the customers responsibility, the customer is liable for any signs of misuse, fitment or damages after this period, no refunds will be given


We endeavour to photograph all stock and provide accurate descriptions, within UK law it requires us to be bound by Distance selling regulations & UK Consumer contract regulations. Consumers based in the European Union can request to return the Goods up to seven working days after the Goods have been received. Once accepted, the buyer is in charge of the shipment and should organise it as soon as possible within 14 working days (except in the case of a return of faulty Goods) items must be returned undamaged and wrapped in the same condition they were sent

'Delivery' If for any reason you think the item is damaged or in an unsuitable condition, materially inaccurate, misleading or misrepresents the goods on arrival, please reject the delivery and provide photographic evidence to

The Customer is responsible for organising the return of the item and for paying delivery costs. All items are inspected on return. Once the item is returned in the same condition and wrapped the same way it was sent, a confirmation will be sent and a refund will be issued through the same payment method, refunds will be made within 7 working days. If an item is returned to the us damaged, or in an unsuitable condition or any signs of misuse we will not be able to process the refund and we may have to send item back to you (and ask you to cover the delivery costs) or a percentage will be deducted from the total costs for any repairs needed. All items are inspected on return.
